Join us for our upcoming fall 2024 workshop: Centering Community Voice in Program Design!

Are you a nonprofit leader looking to build deeper connections with your community? Want to create programs that truly reflect the needs and aspirations of those you serve?

In our upcoming in-person workshop, we’ll explore how to move beyond top-down engagement to ensure that community voices become central to your nonprofit’s program design.

In a time when trust in institutions is dwindling, building meaningful, lasting relationships with communities has never been more critical. Conventional top-down approaches no longer effectively address the real needs of local communities. Instead, centering community voice — ensuring diverse voices are validated, heard, and reflected in program decisions — is the key to creating programs that resonate and drive change.

This workshop will provide you with the practical tools and strategies needed to bridge that gap and co-create solutions with your community.

As part of our workshop, you’ll join other nonprofit leaders to…

  • Gain clarity on the nuance between engaging community members and truly accessing community voices. Learn why amplifying community voices is essential to your programming’s efficacy and how to use this inside-out approach to increase community trust and enhance the efficacy of your program design.
  • Learn from real-world case studies. We’ll cover actionable methods for building trust, gathering insights, and working collaboratively with community members.
  • Practice incorporating feedback. Participate in interactive exercises that will help you build community feedback loops and integrate community perspectives into your program design and organizational practices.

At the end of our time together, you’ll walk away with a Community Voice Action Plan that you can implement directly within your organization, ensuring that community voice shapes every step of your program design and implementation going forward.
