One of our favorite things we did over the last year was to move What’s Next? to a recorded episode format. It gave us the chance to have even deeper conversations with both nonprofit and private sector leaders about the challenges and opportunities they are facing at the intersection of social good.
The second season of What’s Next? will launch this April with an incredible lineup of social good leaders from across the region. We seriously can’t wait to have these conversations – and we can’t wait to share them with you! In the meantime, we want to make sure you didn’t miss any of the What’s Next? conversations from the last five months. How Equitable and Carolina Youth Coalition are Co-Designing Solutions That Get Kids to College
In this episode, we were joined by Jarian Kerekes, Head of Social Impact at Equitable and Aaron Randolph, Executive Director of Carolina Youth Coalition. Honeywell & Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Are Making Technology Available for Everyone
Late last year, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library officially closed the Main Library branch uptown as they prepare to build a brand new, reimagined library that will serve the community for decades into the future. Charlotte is Creative & Wells Fargo Build Creative Entrepreneurship in the Queen City
In December, we sat down with Matt Olin, Co-Founder of Charlotte is Creative and Rod Banks, a Senior Community Relations Consultant at Wells Fargo to talk about how to support both creativity and entrepreneurship in the arts community. The pair recently piloted a project called The Creative Entrepreneurship Initiative, a program that gives creatives funding for a project that also provides capacity-building, small business skills training and everything they need to further their entrepreneurial journey.
How Red Ventures & Road to Hire Are Fueling Careers Through Apprenticeships
Kacey Grantham, Executive Director of Road to Hire and Nancy Hinojosa Samano, a graduate of Road to Hire programming and an Engineer at Red Ventures joined us to talk about their innovative workforce development partnership. The pair discussed how Red Ventures launched Road to Hire as a nonprofit built to connect under-resourced young adults with life-changing careers through access to paid apprenticeships, college scholarships and robust coaching and mentorship.
